Youth Coaches,
It is that time of year again! Youth Coaches need to verify that TYW has a copy of your clearances and certifications for the upcoming season.
TYW is not bound by all DTSD requirements but as per Child Protective Services Law (CPSL) TYW need to collect the following clearances from all non-paid volunteer coaches:
PA Child Abuse History
PA Criminal Record
Federal Criminal History
These clearances are valid for 5 years.
If you have lived in PA for the past 10 years and you have not been convicted of an offense under §6344, you can forgo the Federal Criminal History requirement if you complete an affidavit instead. Please email us at admin@hersheywrestling,com
Both the PA Child Abuse History and PA Criminal Record can be completed free of charge online. The PA Criminal Record results are available within minutes. The PA Child Abuse History takes approximately two weeks.
In addition to the school clearances, there are also two sports certification that need to be completed yearly.
You do not need to complete the PRO version.
Please complete these certification and clearances ASAP and provide a copy to me or via email to [email protected]
You will not be able to be in the mat room until this is completed.
