TO ALL GFL ASSOCIATIONS – FOOTBALL & CHEER DIRECTORS
As we all know there is uncertainty surrounding the COVID19 Restrictions and how that will affect the GFL, Unfortunately there is a lot of misinformation and rumors circulating about what the GFL is planning to do. First and foremost the safety and welfare of the children is and always will be our NUMBER ONE CONCERN!!
We operate under the guidelines and are directly impacted by the policies and decisions of Gwinnett County and the Gwinnett County School Board. Currently they have not released what their policies will be regarding the opening of parks and schools. We are monitoring their decisions and will be ready to react and adjust to any restrictions and policies they put in place. It would be pure speculation at this point as to what we will be able to do. All that being said, we are anticipating and planning that the 2020 GFL Football & Cheerleading Season will start as planned and scheduled.
We are discussing and reviewing the “what if’s” should adjustments be required. Our hope is things will become clearer in the next couple of weeks. We understand and share your frustration that we can not provide a definitive answer, but we do not control the decisions and restrictions that our governing bodies will enact. Please be patient as we navigate through the chaos.
We will update you as soon as we can.
