The following are the rules for player participation in the program. The rules are in place to help insure player safety and to encourage good sportsmanship. Remember that good role modeling by parents reinforces good sportsmanship and enables players to have fun. Please take the time to review these rules with your child(ren).
1. No throwing of equipment, especially helmets.
2. No playing catch during a game, unless otherwise instructed to do so by your coach.
3. During a game, all players will remain on the bench, unless otherwise instructed by your coach.
4. No throwing of water or trash.
5. All trash must be placed in proper containers.
6. All equipment is to be used properly and only when directed by your coach.
7. Equipment will be left in designated areas at all times.
8. Good sportsmanship will be shown at all times. There will be no harassing of other players or umpires. Absolutely no vulgarity will be tolerated.
9. Players are required to attend team functions, unless excused by your coach.
10. For all team functions, players must meet at an area designated by their coach, on time.
11. Call your coach as soon as possible if you cannot attend a team function.
12. No players will be allowed to leave a team function early, or with anyone other than whom they came with, without parent or coach permission.
13. While at team functions, players will obey their coaches and all umpires, at all times.
14. While playing in a game, there will be no foreign objects in your mouth; this includes candy, gum and especially tobacco products.
15. Hats must be worn at all team functions and shirts will be tucked in at all times; remember you are representing Pittsfield!
16. An automatic one game suspension will be given to any player caught fighting. During suspension, the player will be required to attend team functions ready for participation.
