Challenger Camps

Challenger Camps

The early mastery of technical skills is one of the most important elements in the development of youth soccer players.  Challenger’s NEW 1,000 Touches Curriculum has been created to address the key areas of technical development that have the biggest impact on their performance in the game.

Challenger’s New 1,000 Touches Curriculum will provide high levels of repetition of the most valuable and frequently used soccer skills and as the title suggests, it will give each player over 1,000 points of contact with the ball in each 3 hour daily camp.

Northwest Soccer Camp

In its 26th year, this week offers the elite player a week of intense, no-nonsense soccer designed to prepare him/her for advanced play at the high school, club and college level. This session is designed for serious soccer players based on collegiate and professional training camp formats. The program is directed by Steve McCrath. Tami Perkins heads up the girl’s program and the staff features college and professional coaches from around the world.

In addition, one of the most unique segments of the Elite Week experience is the Speed and Explosion Training directed by US Olympic Hall-of-Fame Coach Dr. Kenneth Foreman, his world record holder wife Denise, and legendary Montana State University coach Dale Kennedy. All participants in the NSC Elite Program are tested under field conditions.  Test results are evaluated and individual-specific prescriptions for enhanced performance are prepared for each program participant. Explanation, exploration and individual supervision also are integral components of the Speed and Explosion program.
