At Centerfield, we believe in the power of sports to bring people together, build character, and create lasting memories. What began as a simple baseball league in the mid-80s has evolved into a vibrant community hub, offering a wide range of sports programs and community-building initiatives. This league has been a beloved fixture in the lives of countless families, offering a low-key introduction to organized sports with an emphasis on FUN, FUNDAMENTALS, and TEAM SPIRIT.
Founded in 2018 as a New Worshipping Community, Centerfield quickly became a beacon of positivity and inclusivity in the Waldo/Brookside areas. Our mission is simple: to provide a welcoming and supportive environment where children can learn and grow through sports, while also fostering connections among families and neighbors.
Currently, Centerfield is led by Todd and Jasmin Moore, dedicated volunteer members of our community. Todd brings over 25 years of experience in youth sports development, while Jasmin is a former Division I college athlete. Their sons grew up in the t-ball and coach pitch league and are now giving back as interns.
From our renowned T-ball and Coach Pitch leagues, designed to instill the fundamentals of the game while promoting teamwork and sportsmanship, to our innovative Fantasy Football Youth League, where kids learn strategic thinking and camaraderie in a virtual sports environment, Centerfield offers something for everyone.
But we're more than just sports. Our commitment to community shines through in our partnerships with local schools and organizations, our annual Juneteenth celebration, and our regular fellowship events that bring families together outside the sidelines.
At Centerfield, we're constantly looking ahead, seeking new ways to serve our community and enhance the experiences of our participants. Whether it's through scholarships to ensure children have access to sports, or by exploring new programs, we're dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of those we reach.
