Join us for a fast-paced soccer skills camp designed to improve each aspect of field play including foot skills, passing, teamwork, shooting, defending, and optional goalkeeping. The focus will be on growing the confidence and passion of each player through fun, fast moving activities, games and drills. Participants should expect to learn more about the game of soccer though an energetic team and so much fun!!

This year’s camp will be led by Sam Barnhill, GPS Director and Beka Severs, the East Charlotte Director for the Charlotte Eagles in North Carolina. Beka grew up playing soccer for most of her life and still loves both the game and working with kids. After college, Beka moved to Charlotte, NC to coach soccer for an urban sports ministry called the Charlotte Eagles and has been there for the last 8 years. Beka and the Charlotte Eagles work with many refugee families from all over the world. She will bring up a team of their high school student leaders to help run the soccer camp, bringing so much joy and energy to the field! The goals for the week will be to develop each camper as a person and a player through core biblical devotions and player-centered training. We are so excited to have a Beka and her team back again this year!

During the week, each child will receive their own soccer ball, GPS t-shirt and GPS gear! This camp is a great opportunity for younger children to fall in love with the game, older kids to further develop their skills, and everything in between. This camp is high energy and loved by all and we hope you will consider joining us this year!

The camp will be led by Sam Barnhill, Joseph Marlo, and Jon McClelland. Sam is the director at Grace Powell Sports, former NCAA Division III Track and Basketball player, and certified Exercise Physiologist. Joseph Marlo's background is also in Exercise Physiology, was the previous GPS intern and is now the Grace Kids Pastor at Grace Powell Church. Jon McClelland, the Student Ministries Pastor at Grace Powell Church, will be training and overseeing the the counselors for the week. Campers will experience a high energy and encouraging camp unlike any other that is specifically designed to develop important life skills and impact their overall growth and wellbeing as kids! Each child will receive a GPS t-shirt, be in the running for the camper of the day prize, participate in exciting STEM projects and more!

Who? Ages 4-11 (4 y.o. – 5th Grade Completed)

When? June 3-6 (4 days) from 9a-12p OR 3-6p (we will offer two, identical sessions in the morning and afternoon)
