Preschool/Kindergarten Basketball Camp:
Preschool to Kindergarten children are learning the very basic principles of the sport. This is an eight week program that educates the very basic rules of the game.  This program is for boys and girls.  The format is a 30-minute drills-based practice followed up with games for enjoyment of the game. Practices will last 45 minutes and be held at SJA. Practices will be every Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. from September 26 to November 21. However, we will not have practice on 10/31. A parent/guardian must be present for the entire practice.

Mary Queen of Heaven or Heritage Academy will host the basketball leagues for grades 1 to 8. Student participation will dictate the number of school teams available.

Girls 2nd Grade:
 Recreational – Players are learning rules and techniques of the sport.  Practices and games are formatted with many modified rules to promote enjoyment and development for the players to move into a recreational/semi-competitive style league. SJA will partner with St. Henry for this league. The practices will be on Tuesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Saint Henry School unless gym is occupied for tournaments; practices will then be at Saint Henry Sports Complex next to Boone County High School starting October 17th until the end of the season. The season consists of a ten-game season, a league tournament and 1 exhibition game in St Henry Tournament. Game schedules are TBD.

Boys 1st and 2nd Grade:
Recreational – Players are learning rules and techniques of the sport.  Practices and games are formatted with many modified rules to promote enjoyment and development for the players to move into a recreational/semi-competitive style league. The practices will be on Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Saint Henry Sports Complex next to Boone County High School starting October 5th until the end of the season. The Mary Queen of Heaven League consists of a ten-game season and a league tournament. Game schedules are TBD.

Girls 4th Grade:
Recreational/Semi-competitive – Players are executing the rules and techniques of the sport.  Practices and games are formatted with some modified rules to promote development and enjoyment; this age group prepares players for a semi-competitive league. SJA will partner with St. Henry for this league.The  season consists of a ten-game season, 3 outside tournaments and a league tournament. Practices will be weekly. The practices will be on Mondays from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Saint Henry School unless gym is occupied for tournaments; practices will then be at St. Henry Sports Complex next to Boone County High School starting October 16th until the end of the season. Game schedules are TBD.

Boys 3rd and 4th Grade:
Recreational/Semi-competitive – Players are executing the rules and techniques of the sport.  Practices and games are formatted with some modified rules to promote development and enjoyment; this age group prepares players for a semi-competitive league. The Heritage Academy League consists of a ten-game season and a league tournament. Practices will be weekly. The practices will be on Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Saint Henry Sports Complex next to Boone County High School starting October 5th until the end of the season. Game schedules are TBD.

Girls 5th and 6th Grade:
Semi-competitive/Competitive - Players are executing the rules and techniques of the sport at a semi-competitive level.  Practices and games are formatted with few modified rules to promote development and competition, preparing players for a more competitive league at the middle school level.  SJA will partner with Mary Queen of Heaven for this league. Therefore, the team will be comprised of SJA and MQH students. The Mary Queen of Heaven League consists of a ten-game season and a league tournament. Two week practices are a possibility. The practice facility, time, and day  is TBD. Registration will go through MQH and will open September 1st. League games typically start before Thanksgiving.

Boys 5th and 6th Grade:

Competitive – Players are executing the rules and techniques of the sport.  Practices and games are formatted without modified rules to promote development and competition, preparing players for a more competitive league at the high school level.  The Heritage Academy League consists of a ten-game season and a league tournament. The practices will be twice a week until the 1st game, and then once a week until the end of the season at Saint Henry Sports Complex next to Boone County High School. Starting October 4th, the practices will be Wednesdays & Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. until the first game. After the first game, the practices will only be on Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. until the end of the season. Game schedules are TBD.
