2019 J.J Harvilicz Warrior Wrestling 6 K Turkey Trot

Thank you to all our runners and sponsors from 2018! We had an excellent turnout with well over 100 runners and walkers! 2019 will be our 6th year and we are so thankful to the wonderful community we live in for helping this event continue to grow and raise money for our program.

We are hoping to make 2019 our biggest year yet! This event has created a wonderful Thanksgiving community tradition for so many of our local families. This 6K course that starts and ends in front of Southern Middle School and runs along some stunning horse farms in beautiful Southern York County.

This will be the third year our race will be in memory of one our beloved Warriors, JJ Harvilicz Jr, a 2nd grader at Shrewsbury Elementary who was in the middle of his third wrestling season when he tragically passed away in 2016. Our hope is that every year as the community comes together Thanksgiving morning we can keep his precious memory alive.

Our youth wrestling program draws many boys from K-6th grade each winter season from all over our school district. We have some of the most dedicated and experienced coaches you can find who are all devoted on a completely volunteer basis and provide support and guidance which goes way beyond the wrestling mat. Thanks to this race and our Annual Bull Roast we have been able to keep our registration cost low for the past 7 years making it an affordable option for children in our community.
