After several conversations with families it has become very clear to us that the landscape of soccer in the U.S. has definitely changed.  The traditional 2 evenings a week training and a weekend game, has significantly changed, with clubs at all levels now demanding their players commit more time to their respective teams.

While looking to support and collaborate with US Soccer’s youth policy, Next Gen USA has always subscribed to the developmental need for players to be challenged outside of their own environment. The best players in a team will invariably always be the bes player in the same team, but will they be among the best when training or playing with the top players from other clubs?

It appears many of you support our philosophy, and would like to keep involved Next Gen, but are clearly conflicted by a heavy club and school soccer schedule. We, in turn, would love to keep you involved in our activities, without looking to put any more pressure on an already hectic schedule. Consequently, for this coming fall, we are “returning to our roots” and inviting you to come and have fun with other of Next Gen’s most promising players, at a “Best-with-Best” Games evening. There will only be one or maximum two evenings for your age group over the entire fall season.

The developmental purpose of this program is to offer each player the opportunity to come away from the comfort-zone of their own team, and come together with other top players in a challenging and inspirational learning environment. It’s proven that Best-with-Best does accelerate development in young players.
