Welcome to the 2018 baseball season. The board would like you to know we are very excited for the upcoming season and have made some great changes for the league. Below are some changes and new processes we have added for this season. Always remember if you have any questions you can message us on Facebook or send us an email at [email protected]

We would like everyone to like and follow our Facebook page @greensburgyouthbaseball.  We will post updates, rain delays, and game cancellations to our Facebook page. We also have a new updated website www.greensburgyouthbaseballleague.com  which is sponsored by Dick’s Sporting Goods. 

Registrations

The age cutoff has been changed to May 1^st, the age your child is on May 1^st will determine what league your child is in.  We will now be doing online registrations on our new website, we are not accepting online payments this year.  We will be accepting payments during the following registrations dates and times:

Wednesdays in March 7, 14, 21 @ Parks & Rec Armory 6pm-8pm

Saturdays in March 3, 10, 17 @ Parks & Rec Armory 9am – Noon

March 24 and 25 @ Top Flight Athletics 9am – Noon

We encourage everyone to register online before coming to registrations to make payment.  If you have not registered online, we will have a computer available to complete the online registration at the time of making payment. 

Player Evaluations

This year every player in the Minor, Major, and Babe Ruth leagues will be REQUIRED to go through an evaluation.  Teams will be drafted based on player evaluations to make the leagues more competitive.  Evaluations will be done at Top Flight Athletics on March 24^th and 25^th.  If you have an extenuating circumstance and cannot attend one of the evaluations, please let us know at registration and we will make our best effort to accommodate your needs. We will be offering two free camps, where the kids will learn what they will be evaluated on, at Top Flight Athletics on Feb 25^th and March 4^th. Please register on the website for either camp space is limited. Please note these evaluations will not be done by anyone associated with GYBL.   
                  

Volunteers

As you may have noticed, we were able to purchase new equipment and pitching mounds last year the league.   This was made possible by our volunteers and hosting tournaments at our complex.  Please remember to sign up to volunteer during your online registration.
