New Kent Falcons Join Metro YFL

Good evening, all New Kent Falcon families,

I wanted to give everyone an update on the River City and Metro Merger. I met with Metro, River City's Presidents, and Commissioner yesterday evening. All-in-all over 21 organizations met to discuss what a merger with Metro would look like. The Falcons came to the meeting with two requirements that had to be met before we would agree to merge.

One was a guarantee that we would continue to have 5-6U Tackle, and the second was a guarantee of an organized check-in process before each game.

The Commissioner and all 21 organizations in attendance were all in agreement that these needed to be, and will be, a part of the Metro Merger moving forward.

While Metro's bylaws are ultimately going to be revamped, Metro is looking at the possibility of adopting a lot of what River City had in place for our 5-6U tackle and for an organized check-in process.

The New Kent Falcon Board is so excited to announce that we are now officially a part of the Metro Youth Football League.

We see a bright future for all our returning and new incoming Falcons! In the coming months, all organizations are focused on revamping the bylaws in all areas to better serve the kids and the community they live in.

Please be mindful that change is coming, in a good way!
