Letter from the Board

Little League Families,

As we approach the official start of the 2020 season, the board would like to thank all of whom have worked so hard to put our kids in the “on deck circle” of another season. Countless people have assisted our board while providing support, guidance, encouragement, advice, and elbow grease. This begins with YOU, our Little League Families. The number of people that have offered a simple “thank you” for the continued effort is appreciated by all of us. Our hope is, together, we can provide an opportunity for our kids to experience a few innings of normalcy.

We also want to take a moment to acknowledge the number of questions, comments, and concerns that we have received with regards to the “2 Spectator Rule.” Please know that the need to include this in our 2020 Rules & Protocols is due to it being a specific stipulation of Governors Cuomo’s decision to allow baseball to resume. We acknowledge the onus this places on the board, our volunteers, and most of all, YOU. We saw this as a requirement we could not avoid. We know that it will very difficult to manage without the support of our community. Our ability to keep our crowds to a manageable size will help keep our families safe, our kids playing ball, and our season from being paused… for good.

If we’re able to work together and be respectful of one other, our kids will look back one day and remember that when their world was turned upside down, they still had baseball.

Thank you in advance for your continued support and partnership.

Kind Regards,

LeRoy Little League Board of Directors
