POLICY FOR ALL DIVISIONS - From the 2018 League Bylaws

ARTICLE III. POLICY FOR ALL DIVISIONS

 

    SECTION 1 Start of Games

  1. Each team is responsible for making sure that their team responsibilities are complete prior to their game starting.

     

    SECTION 2 Field Set-up

  1. Home Team is responsible for field set-up including but not limited to: Water, Drag and Line the field.

  2. Set-up appropriate bases for game i.e; setting up Scorekeeper table and providing scorekeeper book. First team of the day must set-up portable fence if applicable to your field.

     

    SECTION 3 Field Clean-up

  1. Each team is responsible for cleaning and clearing out dugout after the game. Away Team is responsible for field clean-up including but not limited to:     

    1. Water and Drag the field

    2. Last team of the day must take down portable fence and drag the field if there are games following day i.e: Sundays.

       

    SECTION 4 Umpires

  1. If an umpire is not provided by the league, then the Home Team is responsible for providing an umpire.

  2. Umpires CAN NOT also be game coaches on the field that day.

     

    SECTION 5 Scorekeeping

  1. Away Team must provide scorekeeper for each game.

  2. Scorekeeper must turn scores into winning coach at the end of the game. Winning Coach is responsible for reporting scores.

     

    SECTION 6 Pitcher Warm-ups

  1. An adult catcher is NOT permitted to warm up a pitcher during game preparation and in between innings at the umpire’s discretion. Note: This is not allowed in Little League tournament or intra-league play.

 

    SECTION 7 Throwing Warm-ups

  1. An adult is NOT permitted to throw or catch with players during game preparation Note: This is not allowed in Little League tournament or intra-league play.

     

    SECTION 8  Manager / Coach Awareness

  1. Managers and coaches are expected to be aware of and abide by the national rules found in the current Little League Baseball Official Regulations and Playing Rules (Playing Rules). Those most important have been listed here for emphasis. The Local Rules approved by the Aviation Little League Board of Directors are listed here as well. These rules have been added to reflect the needs and philosophy of Aviation Little League and take precedence over the Playing Rules for our league games. If a rule question cannot be answered after reviewing these sheets, the current Playing Rules should then be consulted.
