Dear Community Supporter: Sulphur Soccer Club is entering our eleventh year of offering local athletes an organized sport on a competitive level across the state. Our goal for our players is to promote sportsmanship while achieving his or her highest athletic ability.
Our long-term goal is to cultivate players in order to strengthen the soccer program for the city of Sulphur and its high school, leading to opportunities for players in college.
Unfortunately, team fees alone are not adequate enough to cover the full amount of our club’s expenses. In the past, although we have had numerous fundraisers, parents and coaches still had to contribute money from their own pockets to help cover team expenses.
Some of the non-covered expenses are:
• Compensation of non-parent coaches (typically college students) – this includes a small salary and reimbursement of travel expenses for tournaments.
• SSC sponsored players – the club covers expenses for some players who are not able to afford the cost of participation.
• Purchase of training equipment
• End of year awards and gifts to athletes
This year we are turning to the community and our extended families to ask for support.
If you could help us with a donation of any amount, it will be greatly appreciated and will help to cover the costs of team expenses for the 2017/2018 season. In return, with a $150 minimum donation we will help advertise your company on our websites.
