Baseball Playing Divsions Announced for Spring 2019

BASEBALL PLAYING DIVISIONS

 

TBALL -Tee Ball Baseball is for boys and girls (ages 4, 5, 6) who want to learn the fundamentals of the game. Soft flexi balls are used and coaches are allowed on field to help with instruction. Primary goal of Tball is to introduce children/families to the game and make it a positive experience for all. No score is kept there is typically two game and one practice per week. There are no tryouts/evaluations for Tball and all friend/managers requests are filled as best as possible

 

MINOR C - (Ages 5, 6, 7, 8) Introduces players to hitting a ball thrown to them by their coach. Soft flexi balls are used and play is on a regular 60-foot diamond. Minor C players begin to learn the core fundimentals of the game. No score is kept and you can expect about two games and two practices per week. There are no tryouts/evaluations for Minor C and all friend/manager requests are filled as best as possible.

 

MINOR B - (Ages 7, 8, 9, 10) Minor B is our first division where players pitch. 60-foot base path, 46ft pitching distance, and hard baseballs are used. Minor B players are required to participate in evaluations and the teams are drafted by the division managers. Minor B focuses on continued development of baseball fundamentals including the introduction of pitching and catching positions. You can expect about two games and two practices per week.

 

MINOR A - (Ages 9-11) Minor A is for boys and girls ages 9-11. The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 46 feet. Hard baseballs are used. Minor A players are required to participate in evaluations and teams are drafted by the division managers. You can expect two games per week and two practices per week.

 

MAJORS - (Ages 10-12) Majors division is for boys and girls ages 10-12. The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 46 feet. Hard baseballs are used. Major players are required to participate in evaluations and teams are drafted by the division managers. Majors is competitive baseball and Little League Tournament Rules for substitution apply for all regular season games. You can expect two games per week and two practices.

 

JUNIORS - The Junior League Baseball Division is a program for boys and girls ages 13-14, using a conventional 90-foot diamond with a pitching distance of 60 feet, 6 inches. Junior League home games are played at various parks across District 29.

 

SENIORS - The Senior League Baseball Division is for boys and girls 14-16 years old, using a conventional 90-foot diamond with a pitching distance of 60 feet, 6 inches. Senior League games are played at various parks across District 29.


CHALLENGERS - The Division is designed to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to play baseball. It has been created for players with Special Needs. It is COMPLETELY FREE to players Aged 4-16.
