Baseball Executive Board

Meet Our Executive Staff

The Executive Baseball Board is responsible for the operation of the Youth Baseball program at SKSA.  Each member is responsible for an individual portion of our program.  The Executive Board is responsible for resolving any disputes that arise, setting program dates and costs.  Each member is a volunteer appointed by the President of Baseball with the consent of the SKSA Board of Directors.  Each member works with a group of volunteers to make sure that this is an enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

Oversees and coordinates all activities involving Baseball related activities. The Baseball President is the chair of the Baseball Executive Board and presides over all meetings of the Executive or General Boards. The President is a defacto member of all Baseball Related Committees. The Baseball President is directly responsible for the Metro Baseball Leagues, Equipment, Uniforms and all league related activities. The Baseball President appoints, with SKSA Board of Directors approval, all members of the Baseball Executive Board.

Responsible for the development of programs serving recreational class players 9 years through 15 years of age (generally know as “Metro”). Recruits and directs the individual League coordinators. Resolves disputes involving coaches, parents and participants in the respective age groups. Generally promotes the Program to the general public and the association membership. Approves manager applications subject to association guidelines. Assists in the recruitment of players and managers in the respective programs. Works with President Baseball, Umpire in Chief and Executive Director with rule interpretations and protest resolution for respective age groups. Standing member of the Rules Committee.

Approves manager applications subject to association guidelines. Assists in the recruitment of players and managers in the respective programs. Works with President Baseball, Umpire in Chief and Executive Director with rule interpretations and protest resolution for respective age groups. Standing member of the Rules Committee.

 
Vice President - Communications

Prepares, reviews and and assists in the distribution of Baseball related communication through various media. Generally responsible for the appearance, content and maintenance of www.sksa.com. Prepares flyers, signage and electronic media used for registration announcements and advertising. Interacts with the general public to promote communication between the board and members or potential members of the association. Provides oversight to the SKSA webmasters.

Responsible for maintaining all aspects involving league registrations. Oversees the school coordinators for the purpose of expanding our membership and participant base. Works with the VP-Communications to prepare and distribute flyer's to schools, subdivisions and other community locations advertising the league registration. Seeks approval from authorities for placement of advertisement signs in public locations. Oversees the development and maintenance of the online registration process. Works with the VP-Volunteers to staff in person registration days. Coordinates with Baseball Executive Board for program and registration dates. General point of contact for the association membership concerning participant registration.

Actively recruits and maintains a database of league volunteers. Generally responsible for contacting the association membership to provide scheduled volunteers for specific functions. Provides direction and oversight to the volunteer committee and the specific volunteer coordinators. Specifically responsible for Opening Day activities, Team Parents, Basket Raffle and Baseball Tournament staff. Reviews operations and suggests areas that can be better served by volunteers to increase responsiveness or cut costs.

Coordinators

Each age group has a Coordinator assigned to assist with management and questions for that specific age group. If you have any questions regarding your player or team, or any issues please contact your designated league coordinator first. The coordinators review questions and issues and will escalate to the executive baseball board as required. If you have attempted to contact your coordinator and have not received a response within 24 hours please email the Vice President for your age group (either VP of 5-8U or VP of 9-14U).
