Welcome to the Modesto Empire Little League website!

Modesto Empire Little League (MELL) is located in Empire ,CA
Off the Yosemite Blvd/ Route 132 East of Modesto, CA. MELL uses the fields behind Empire Elementary School and The Stanislaus Military Academy (Formally known as Teel Meddle School)

MELL is volunteered run non-profit youth  Co-Ed baseball and actively building  girls softball organization charted through Little League international. Similar to other local leagues, such as Pony. However, Little League has more instruction and safety guidelines in live play. Our league focuses on safety and instruction. With lots of fun and friendly competition. Little League does have a tournament season at the end of the spring season known as ALL STARS for ages 9 and above. 

FOR FALL BALL(SEPTEMBER-EARLY NOVEMBER)
Fall Ball season consists on a single day(Saturdays) Skills Clinic and Drills session 1-1 ½ hours and scrimmage(45min- 1hr45min) for the learned skills to be applied in a live game

League Age is determined by the player's age on August 31 of the current year.
**Player A turns 6 in May and is 6yo on Aug 31, that player is a League Age 6
**Player B turns 6 in Sept and is 5yo on Aug 31, that Player is a League Age 5

Players "League age" 4,5 and 6(first time playing)are eligible to play in the Tee Ball Division.
*This means that the player will attain the age of 4 before September 1st and will not attain the age of 7 before August 31 shall be eligible to play in the Tee Ball Division
Players "League age" 6, 7, and/ or 8 are eligible to play in the Coach/Machine Pitch Division.
*This means that the player will attain the age of 6 before September 1st and will not attain the age of 8 before August 31 shall be eligible to play in the Tee Ball Division
Players “League Age” 8, 9, and/or 10 are eligible to play on the Minors Player Pitch Division.
*This means that the player will attain the age of 8 before September 1st and will not attain the age of 10 before August 31 shall be eligible to play in the Minors Player Pitch Division
Players "League age" 10, 11, and/or 12 are eligible to play in the Majors Player Pitch Division *This means that the player will attain the age of 10 before September 1st and will not attain the age of 12 before August 31 shall be eligible to play in the Majors Division
Players "League age" 13, and/or 14 are eligible to play in the Juniors Division This means that the player will attain the age of 10 before September 1st and will not attain the age of 12 before August 31 shall be eligible to play in the Majors Division

Each division overlaps one year in age to allow for players to either "play up" or "play down" a division, provided that the player meets certain requirements established by the League. If a player has participated in one full prior season, and displays an ability to perform at a higher level of play, with the permission of the League's Player Agent and The Board of Directors, they could be allowed to "play up" to the next division level.*Parents may request a player be "Played Up", at which time the league's Player Agent may conduct a  player evaluation on the player to determine if that player displays the accurate skill level and maturity for the division requested.
