Required Documentation

As an affiliate of Little League International and participants in the Little League World Series qualifying tournaments, the Elmwood Little League is required to obtain a copy or photograph of each player's birth certificate.

Our new website and league management system, Dick's TSHQ, is an official partner of Little League International, and we can now collect and confirm official records that are submitted as photographs taken from your phone or scanned on a computer.

Uploading Document Images

In most cases, this is easiest if you register using a smartphone with a camera and web browser.  Simply lay out the documents described below on a table in front of you and begin the registration process.  When you get to a field in the form that asks for a document, click Upload, then Choose File and Take Photo or Video -- and then take a clear photo of the requested document -- and finally click Upload.  Be sure to complete and submit the rest of the form to complete the registration process and save your document images.

Birth Certificate

You must have a copy of a child's birth certificate on hand to begin online registration with Elmwood Little League.

If your child has played in the Elmwood Little League in previous years, but you cannot find their birth certificate at this time, you will need to come to an in-person registration session to request that the league retrieve its copy of the birth certificate from the league's records.

Residency and School Attendance Eligibility Requirements

Little League International requires that all Elmwood Little League players either live or attend school within the league boundaries, encompassing the Elmwood, West End, Upper & Lower South Providence, and Reservoir neighborhoods.  For the full regulations please see this Little League document.

Players can be registered but cannot try out, be added to a team, practice or play until residency or school attendance documents have been submitted to an approved by Elmwood Little League

Families can choose between submitting school attendance OR proof of residence documents.  Both are not required.

School Attendance

Players attending school within league boundaries may submit a copy of the Little League School Enrollment Form signed by a school administrator.  A list of eligible schools has been pre-loaded into our system.
