Duez has a history of high level, competitive basketball.  As a player for the Iowa Hawkeyes from 1998-2002, he was a two-year starter and team captain. As a freshman, the Hawkeyes advanced to the Sweet Sixteen where they were beaten by eventual NCAA Champion, University of Connecticut.  As a junior, Duez helped Iowa to a 23-12 overall record and the 2001 Big Ten Tournament Championship.  The Hawkeyes received an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament and eventually lost to Kentucky in the second round. Following an outstanding college career, Duez played professionally in Germany for six years.  As a professional player in Germany, he led the league in scoring and rebounding four times.  During his final year in Germany, Duez served as head coach for Basketball Club USC Leipzig.

Duez has a passion for helping players become the best leaders and basketball players possible. He believes players of any age and skill must be challenged beyond their comfort zone to grow as players and people. Duez is known for his passion and ability to inspire and challenge players to play at a high level. He coaches to see players grow, learn and walk away with lifelong skills that sports provide.

Duez is married to Randi Henderson, a Women's Basketball Coach at the University of North Carolina Charlotte, they have a daughter Harper. 

Duez is also owns Henderson Basketball Training, an organization training athletes and coaches in player skill development.
