Get Involved with Healdsburg Little League!

Our league thrives thanks to the dedication and support of our incredible volunteers! Whether you’re a parent, family member, or community supporter, we welcome your help in creating an unforgettable experience for our young players. Volunteering with Healdsburg Little League is a fantastic way to make a positive impact, connect with other families, and support the growth and development of our athletes both on and off the field.

From coaching and umpiring to helping with events, concessions, and field maintenance, there are countless ways to get involved. Every role, big or small, helps us build a strong, supportive community where kids can learn, grow, and have fun. Volunteer Responsibilities

Volunteer Responsibilities by Division

Baseball games require significant volunteer support to run smoothly and ensure a great experience for our kids. Below is a breakdown of the responsibilities by division, including details on each role. Thank you for your dedication to making this season successful!


General Volunteer Requirements

Requirement Description
Team Parents Every team needs a Team Parent to coordinate volunteer responsibilities. Coaches, please email your Team Parent’s name and the names of your two “official” coaches to [email protected].
Concession Adult Cook Training Mandatory training for concession cooks will be held on TBD at TBD. Each team must send two adults to be trained.
Teen Workers Approved teens can work as Concession Counter Workers. Parents must contact, schedule, and pay teens ($30 per game). Teens must arrive 30 minutes before game time and stay 30 minutes after for cleanup. To add your teen to our contact list, please email [email protected].

Definitions

Field Setup Duties

  • Walk the field and fill in any holes.
  • Rake the first 3 feet from the grass on both the infield and outfield.
  • Drag the field, staying clear of the grass to avoid creating a lip.
  • Rake again away from the grass.
  • Water the field.
  • Set up the bases.
  • Chalk the lines.

Field Breakdown Duties

  • Empty trash into HES dumpsters (Drowty - key in concessions).
  • Clean the dugout.
  • Between Saturday games: Water, rake, and chalk to maintain field quality.
  • After the last game: Pull bases, cover the mound, and close the snack shack (Drowty).

Snack Responsibilities

  • Each family is assigned a day to provide snacks for the team. Options include:
    • Bringing a snack for every player.
    • Purchasing hot dogs and drinks from the snack shack (order and pay before the game).
