JYA is proud to offer for the opportunity to play soccer on the beach!

Your registration will pay for the tournament fee, ride wristband, as well as a special fun JYA jersey.

Girls are playing June 29 & 30

Boys are playing in the second tournament July 20 & 21

Each player receives a wristband for entry to Morey’s Piers Amusement Rides and Waterparks all day Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Discounted entry to the Amusement Rides and Waterparks is also available for the families of accepted teams, Friends and Families can get 4-days of riding for the price of 1 day. All accepted teams will receive a link to Morey's Pier's online tournament store to purchase these wristbands directly from Morey's Piers online.

Games are 5 v 5 - 4 plus keeper - maximum 10 players per team. Each game consists of 3 -12 minute periods. Games start on the hour. Substitutions will occur on the fly. Fields are 30 yards by 40 yards. Nylon webbing staked at the 4 corners and flags will delineate the fields. Each team will play 3 games (weather and other unforeseen conditions permitting) with a 4th possible for those advancing to the finals.

Tennis Camp Description: Fun-filled JYA community tennis camp! Come play with your old friends and make new ones, develop skills useful in all sports and learn TENNIS, a sport of a lifetime! This is a non-competitive, beginner to intermediate tennis camp with emphasis on sportsmanship, fun games & activities!

The camp director, Jill Mulvaney, is a PTR Certified Youth Tennis Instructor. She has been the director for the past 5 years and a 20 year resident of the Jenkintown Community and former Jenkintown High School Girls Assistant Tennis Coach. Also, we welcome Jenkintown Tennis Coach & Teacher, Mr. "Woz" who is joining our JYA tennis camp staff this year! 

Our counselors are all Jenkintown High School Student athletes and members of the Varsity Girls & Boys tennis teams.

JYA jointly sponsors the Jenkintown Basketball Camp with Coach Robert McNamara. The program is for boys and girls entering grades 4 - 9 and held inside and outside at the Jenkintown High School Gym and the outdoor courts. This summer we will run 1 week from June 17th to June 21st, 9am -3pm on Mon - Thurs and 9am -1pm on Fri. The fee is $250/week with no lunch and $275/week with lunch included. It includes 1v1 competition, hot shot, free throws, team games, stations, individual instruction, evaluations, individual awards, and t-shirts.

Dates: June 24th - June 28th

Times: M- F 9am - 12pm

Ages: Kids in grades 1 - 8

Cost: $150

Parents will be charged once teams are formed. There is no fee for trying out

JYA Jaguars soccer provides its players with high quality instruction from experienced coaches while competing in the challenging Inter County Youth Soccer League (ICSL) . Our main objective is to help young athletes improve their skills and enjoy competitive soccer. Our coaches will spend hours building a good foundation for our players including ball mastery, dribbling, passing, first touch, aerial control, and changing direction; we are also committed to winning.

Registration fees (25 dollar sibling discount) includes a full fall soccer league, uniform, and an optional 6 game spring league based on interest. Practices will start in August at Abington Friends School, our home field.

For the first time we are going to see if there is enough interest to field travel teams at the younger ages of U9 and U10. Those teams have smaller rosters so anyone that doesn't make the team will still have the opportunity to play with JYA in our Inter-Community league against Ardsley and Roslyn. Rosters expand at U11 then again at U13.

 

 

We are an age pure program and only under special circumstances will a player be able to play up. This is to help keep our teams competitive at all ages.

2012 birth year will play U13 (11v11 size 5 ball)

2013 birth year will play U12 (9v9 size 4 ball)

2014 birth year will play U11 (9v9 size 4 ball)

2015 birth year will play U10 (7v7 size 4 ball)

2016 birth year will play U9 (7v7 size 4 ball)
