FMSC mission - Hope begins with nutritious food and FMSC exists to provide this hope.  Nutrition allows children to grow, thrive and develop to their full potential so that they can become productive members of their communities.   Every day  FMSC food is delivered to schools, orphanages, medical clinics and feeding programs in 70 countries around the world to break the cycle of poverty.  

We choose this organization because it is an interactive way for our players to give back to other children their age.  FMSC does a great job of telling the story of their food and the people they serve which allows our players to connect with others by hearing their story and then packing to help provide hope through food.  

These 2nd and 3rd graders and their families really enjoyed themselves.  They all worked together to fill bags of food and also competed to see who could fill the most boxes.  Big smiles and giggles of excitement happened during the 2 hour packing session.  Many girls asked when we can do it again and had questions about people less fortunate then themselves.  We would highly recommend this to other Lightning teams!
