Meet our new President Adam Chavarria

Adam grew up on the Southwest side of Chicago in the Brighton Park neighborhood. He spent his formative years playing several sports at Chicago's well-know Kelly Park located at Archer & California avenues respectively.  Adam attended DeLaSalle Institute (high school) where the Chavarria family have now produced nine graduates to date. He continues his strong ties with De today as the Alumni Association president.

Adam was a three sport athlete at DeLaSalle & later earned a scholarship to play both basketball & baseball at North Park University. He earned honors in both high school & college which included All-Catholic League & All CCIW honors.

Long time Lemont residents, the Chavarria family moved to Lemont in 1995. After some time spent living in Northern California, Adam's family resettled in Lemont in 2006 where he continues to live today. Adam has served as a volunteer and/or coach with the LBSC & Lightning for over eight years. He also has two daughters that both play for the Lightning organization.   Adam replaces Jason Tomaras our former President.   We also want to thank Jason for his years of service to LBSC and LL.
