Somers Point Little League Registration FAQ's for 2024 effective 1/2/2024
Where to Register
You can register by logging on to the Sports Connect website.
Please go to https://tshq.bluesombrero.com/somerspointlittleleague to register on-line.
Click on “Registration” at top right on Home Page.
To Obtain previous USERID or PASSWORD
If you previously registered in Sports Connect but have forgotten your userid or password go to logon screen
for Sports Connect and click “forgot”. It will ask for the email you used previously and help you!
Where are Games Played
Games occur at Somers Point Little League Fields and other local fields
(where divisions are playing games against other local City teams).
Levels of Play and Fee Structure
Levels of play include:
Little League $60 + Registration Fees
Minor League - Player Pitch $60 + Registration Fees
Minor League - Coach/Machine Pitch $60 + Registration Fees
T-Ball $60 + Registration Fees
Sibling Discount is $20.00 for each additional sibling registered.
VERY VERY IMPORTANT: Siblings must be registered at same time for discounts to apply. They occur at checkout.
Other Mandatory Fees
1) Service Fee of $3.00 per family when registering (based on fee continuing at year 2023 level.)
and 2) a charge related to using CREDIT CARD which is currently under 4% of total being charged.
Service and Credit Card Fees are repeated if you register adults or youth at different times.
Please register all children and adults at same time to avoid additional fees.
As you read this email your first question is probably
“WHY IS REGISTRATION SO EARLY?”
The reality is there are many reasons but each is designed to make playing ball a better experience for all participants.
For example, In most divisions we play games against other Cities because we cannot field enough teams.
Early registration allows our League to schedule games with other Cities and begin games schedule as soon as possible.
Absent early registration there is a serious potential that other Cities will not schedule our teams to play against.
Early registration allows teams to be selected with proper roster sizes. Too few players and our League Officials can try to find players to fill a team. Too many players on a team and all players do not get sufficient playing time. Late signups can also affect the competitive balance on teams who have been already selected.
Administratively early signups allow time to order uniforms, supplies, and schedule Umpires.
Primary focus is a need to plan and does not in any way affect signup flexibility where it is possible.
