Mandatory Coaches' Training

MANDATORY COACHES' TRAINING

A new training requirement for all head coaches and assistant coaches must be met in addition to VIRTUS. Beginning in 2021, CYO basketball will require two forms of training for coaches, which are:

1. VIRTUS - Click on Handouts and click on the training for child protection.

2. PLAY LIKE A CHAMPION TODAY - The Coaches Training Certification will be the Play Like a Champion Today training.

The fee is $25 per Coach (submit for reimbursement). This training is good for 3 years. We are anticipating a refresher after the 3-year expiration date.

All volunteers training certifications will be verified and, if necessary, you will be required to complete the above training if your current certifications have expired.
