We are excited to announce our spring
program of Learn to Skate USA classes at the Newington Arena (300 Alumni
Rd in Newington, CT). The 8-week session will start on Friday May 5,
2017.
The Learn to Skate
program will run May 5 – June 25, with classes being held on Fridays and
Sundays. This is a structured program with a set curriculum using the
Learn to Skate USA model.
Ages:
Open
to all boys and girls ages 4 and above, beginner through advanced.
Program director reserves the right to accept younger participants.
Schedule:
Fridays at 6pm. Sundays during the 4 o’clock hour.
Registration for the entire 8 week program is to be done online prior to program starting.
Walk in policy:
walk in is allowed only once. After the walk in session you would have
to commit to the remaining sessions. You must call or email ahead of
time so we can plan accordingly.
Make up dates:
Everyone is allowed 1 make up class and this class must be used on a Sunday, however we need to know when you plan on coming.
Learn to Skate USA:
Everyone must be registered with Learn to Skate USA prior to enrolling in the class. Please go to www.learntoskateUSA.com
and register your skater. Once you completed the registration, you must
forward your skaters confirmation email (with LTS USA number) to [email protected]
so we can claim your skater to the program. If you fail to register
prior to the session starting, we will register your skater for an added
fee.

8 weeks at 1x per week: $125.00
8 weeks at 2x per week: $200.00
Family discount of 10% for 3 or more children in the program
Rental skates (if needed) included in the cost of program
With your registration, you get two free passes to public skating sessions (excluding Friday Night Ice Jam)

Additional Information:
Each
session, skaters are asked to check in at the office in the lobby and
give your name where you will get your badge for that lesson.
Group placement is made according to age and ability.
Instructors will be at the rink location and lobby office to assist those who need it.
Properly
fitted skates with single blades are required along with hats and
gloves/mittens for safety and warmth. Helmets are optional but suggested
for young children.
All
parents and spectators are asked to stay on the bleacher side of the
rink during class time. Nobody allowed on the benches or in the doorways
during the class time.
All
participants will be invited to participate in the Spring Ice Show. The
fee to participate in the spring ice show is $15.00 and will be
collected at a later date.
