The head tennis coach is Mr. Garry Lucas.  Garry has been the head coach for the boys and girls teams since the program inception in 2012.  Garry has lived in the Daniel Boone School District for the past 25 years.  He has been a teaching pro at acclaimed Hillcrest Racquet Club in Reading and is a certified teacher with the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) with PROFESSIONAL level accreditation.  He is a member of the United States Tennis Association.  Garry was named Berks County Coach of the year in 2015 when the girls team notched an 11-5 record in just the second year of team play.

The following year boys and girls teams continued to grow to the point that the 2016 girls had the largest team in Berks County.  A record 29 girls were on the team that season.

Coach Lucas is known for his ability to teach and inspire young people who are both familiar to tennis or brand new to the sport.  Lessons are available upon request.
