Bouncing Back with HVLL

To Our HVLL Families and Friends,

Last Sunday night (November 13), there was a fire at the Minor B score booth.  One of our neighbors called the Huntington Beach Fire Department a little before 10 p.m., and although they arrived shortly thereafter, the structure was destroyed. In addition to the score booth, the bleachers and netting above home plate were also damaged. The consensus of the firemen on the scene was that the fire was intentionally set. Footage we've since received from a neighbor's security camera confirms this sad fact. Needless to say, the Minor B field is closed until further notice.

The good news is that no one was injured. Our Little League community is strong and will come together to rebuild the score booth – and more importantly – repair the spirits of the kids and families we serve.

We have received a number of messages from concerned citizens wanting to know how they can help. Until we get approval from the Fire Department we are in a bit of a holding pattern, but we have set up a donation link in the interim. Our Spring Season is right around the corner and we are determined to kick it off with business baseball as usual.

Due to the generosity and support of our community, we raised more than $8,000 via "Go Fund Me" for our rebuilding effort.  gofundme.com/hvll-rebuild-due-to-arson-fire
