BCLL wins District 6 title in 10-12 baseball

WILSON -- Bull City LL beat South Durham LL 6-2 on Thursday night to claim the District 6 championship at Southern Bank Stadium.

With the win, BCLL advances to the state championship in Rocky Mount.  BCLL's first game will be July 10 at 1:30 pm at Rocky Mount Sports Complex.

Robb Harmsen's team outscored opponents 40-5 during the tournament.  It is BCLL's first district championship in LL's Majors baseball division since the 2016 team won state and advanced to the SE Regional.

Owen Joines had a three-run home run in the first inning to open the scoring vs. SDLL.

Tyler Sharp pitched 4.1 innings, giving up only one hit before giving way to Joines for the save.  Sully Sebastian also had a home run, and Callum Page had a key at-bat to help pace the BCLL offense.

Sharp hit two home runs in Tuesday's 12-2 win over SDLL.

BCLL hopes to see you in Rocky Mount next weekend to support the team!
