BCLL wins 2022 NC state title defeats Myers Park

ROCKY MOUNT -- Bull City LL defeated Myers Park 6-3 in thrilling fashion Saturday in the state championship of the 10-12 Little League tournament.

With the victory, BCLL advances to the SE Regional championship in Warner Robins, Ga.

It is BCLL's first state championship since 2016.

BCLL trailed 3-2 heading into the sixth. Dalton Parker led off with a solo home run to left to tie the score.

Ian Goodwin and Everett Harmsen followed with walks. JonLuke Harper then doubled to center to drive in Goodwin. Sully Sebastian doubled to center to score Harmsen and Harper and close the scoring.

Owen Joines went the distance for BCLL on the mound, not walking a single batter.

Tyler Sharp and Grayson Dodge had earlier hits to give BCLL its first two runs.

BCLL's first game in the SE Regionals will be Thursday, Aug. 4 at 7 pm vs. Virginia. The game will be televised on ESPN Plus.
