Dear Freedom Little League Families,
I hope you and your family are doing well.
I'm writing to provide you with a brief update about the possibility of a Freedom Little League fall ball season. Thanks to all of you that completed the online survey about your interest in playing. The Freedom Board met last Monday to review the results and discuss our options. We decided that we wouldn't make a "go" or "no go" decision at that meeting. We're getting prepared for a season and monitoring the external constraints, e.g. other leagues and city fields. City fields were scheduled to reopen today but the closure has been extended without a date for when the situation will be reassessed. If we do play, this will likely impact the start date.
I'll be sending another email soon about our Annual Meeting (September 9th) during which we vote on new Board members and officers. Please consider joining the Freedom Little League Board. We're losing several Board members this year and need new families to fill those voids. Following this pandemic, we'll need a full Board in order to revitalize our league and bring Freedom families back out to the park!
