Our goal is introduce the game of baseball to the younger children and to allow the older children an opportunity to develop their skills and enjoyment of the game.
The focus is on having fun - but we recognize, particularly as the children get older, that competition can be (and usually is) healthy. (and we recognize that there is a difference between trying to win the score of the game and "winning at all costs").
We encourage parents/family members to participate with their child/family member. A coach can not possibly teach the game and develop all of the skills necessary to play the game with a reasonable degree of skiill in the lmited practice times available to our teams. Practice outsidde of team practices and invovlement in the game (even just watching baseball on TV) is encouraged.
We hope that this is a fun expereince for all involved - we are helpfing to develop the future baseball fans and maybe a bit more than that.
