Junior TOC Champion Crowned

For the second year, District 2 has hosted, not only a Major's TOC but, a Junior Tournament of Champions series. Taking the best four regular season teams from all of District 2, the tournament serves to showcase our Junior division and how far it has grown in just a few years. This year, the Frederick Wagner team took home the D2 TOC traveling plaque and the coveted TOC champions flag. Two preliminary games were played on Saturday setting up the championship on Sunday Father's day against Wagner and Johnson. Both teams are from the combined Frederick Leagues. Wagner's team started off strong taking a 2-0 lead after the second. Johnson answered back putting 2 on the board, but it wasn't enough after Wagner opened up the flood gates and scoring 10 more before it was all over. The final score 12-2 after 5 innings of play. Now the regular season is over and we look to the International Tournament for the Juniors division which culminates in the Junior League World Series in Taylor, Michigan. But, it all starts right here at our District 2 district tournaments starting June 29 where Montgomery County LL will take on Frederick in Montgomery County.
