Letter from FSC President, Troy Brown

Hello to All and Thanks for an outstanding spring season. We have seen tremendous growth in our teams and players this spring and we can’t wait for future brings for Fremont Soccer.

Registrations:
I know it is hard to believe but we need to move forward with our fall season. Registration are currently open for the fall and we need to get those registrations done as soon as possible. Go to www.fremontsoccer.org/registration to register today. Teams need to be decided by middle of June therefore we need to get your child registered today. Do not wait to get them registered as some teams and age groups filled up very fast and registrations were closed and kids were put on wait list until we got enough for another team. This year the state required us to switch registration software so when you go to register your previous information will not be there so you will need to start over. Sorry this is something that is mandated by the state and something we waited for the last second to implement. There are still payment plan options for you so you don’t have to pay all the fees up front but the longer you wait the more fees you must pay up front. We will be having help registration nights as well, you will be notified of those very soon. Again, get those registration in soon so you don’t miss out on an exciting fall season.

NEW:
Optional volunteer reimbursement program. If your child is U9/U10 you can choose to volunteer 2 hours and receive a $25 reimbursement for time volunteered. If you child is U11 thru U19 then you can choose to volunteer 4 hours and receive a $50 reimbursement for time volunteered. The YDP or U8 and younger do not have the reimbursement program. Please remember that the entire club is run by volunteers from your coaches to the entire board. So please help volunteer otherwise this club will not be successful.

Board:
Speaking of the Board our monthly meetings are held the Third Sunday of the month at 7pm they are open for all members to attend. Please note that the June Meeting will be held on June 19th due to Father’s Day. Another Board note is that we are actively looking for our next President. Troy Brown our current president accepted a full-time job with Nebraska State Soccer and will not be able to continue as our president after the summer of 2018. If you want to learn more please reach out to any board member. Summer Events: There are flyers attached for our summer events. Please look and plan on attending so the kids can keep their skills throughout the summer.

Club Fundraiser: This is the tournament that we host the Nebraska State Cup on the weekends of June 3-4 and June 10-11. We need help with setup/teardown and during both weekends in concession stand. An email was sent to U9 and above coaches so please contact your coach for the times you are scheduled to work. YDP we need you help throughout the entire weekends feel free to come out and help. This keeps our registrations prices low because of this event.
