No experience necessary! If your child has never played before or if your child is a "seasoned vet", Brighton Cal Ripken Baseball has a lot to offer for your child.

For this season, we will be offering six divisions including:

  • Coach Pitch (Ages 4-6)
  • Rookies (Ages 7-8) - Machine Pitch
  • Minors (Ages 9-10)
  • Majors (Ages 11-12)
  • Babe Ruth PREP (Age 13*)
  • Babe Ruth (Ages 14-16*)

*14 year-olds may elect to play in Babe Ruth Prep or Babe Ruth Standard. It is suggested that 14 year-olds play in Babe Ruth Standard. The option for Babe Ruth Prep is available for players who are not yet at the skill level to play in Babe Ruth Standard. If you are unsure, please email [email protected] and we are happy to help.

The player's age on May 1, 2025 determines his or her age for the season. It is expected that each division will have a 12 game season with the exception of Coach Pitch which will be a 10 game season*. Games for the 2025 Spring season will begin the week of April 8th following Spring Break with Practices/Assessments on March 15th.

Special Note for “Summer Birthdays”: The Cal Ripken cutoff of May 1st does not line up completely with the school year. Players with birthdays between May 1st and August 1st on Age groups whose “school year” players move up a division will have two options in registration. They can play UP with the kids in their grade or still have the option of playing the standard division for their actual age. In the past, parents had to email the league to move up. This year both options, when appropriate, should be available so please choose carefully the correct division. Email us if you have questions.

*The number of games played is dependent on weather, and a variety of other concerns, and could vary depending on these circumstances. We will make all efforts to reschedule and complete a full season within the dates we have available to schedule games.
