Pownal Youth Baseball Parent Expectations

1. Please have your child to all practices on-time.  If you will be late or cannot make it to a practice please call or text the coach.

2. Children will not be allowed to have food in the dugouts.  Drinks of Gatorade, Powerade, or water only.

3. Please have your child to games 1/2 hour prior to the start of the game.  We want all children to be warmed up and ready to go.  This will prevent some injuries from happening.

4. Coaches make the final say as to who will play when and where on the field.  The coaches make the lineup in many different ways and place the children where they would be the most successful.

5. If parents have questions about why the coach is doing something then please speak to them before or after a practice or game.  Coaches need to have their full attention on the children during games and practices.

6. We need to respect the rules of baseball.  Each inning there are three outs no matter how they come for majors.  Minor player will have three outs or 3 runs per inning.  Coach pitch (Rookies) will be three outs or one time through the batting order.  Some innings will go on longer than others. 

7. There will be no yelling at the coaches or umpires.  The coaches and umpires try their best.  If you are yelling at a coach or umpire you may be asked to leave the game.  This also goes for any family members or friends that come to the game to see your child play.

8. There is to be NO SMOKING at the RT.346 ball field or the Pownal Elementary School.  This is school property and against the law.  You will be asked to stop smoking. 

9.  Parents are required to do at least one concession stand duty per child in the league each year.  If parents cannot make the time they are scheduled please find someone else to cover for you.  If you do not do your concession time your child will be sitting the bench for half a game.  This is how we make the money to pay the umpires for each game.

10.  All children are required to be at the Car Wash.
