2024 Divisions

Tee-Ball
Ages 4-6
This is the opportunity for kids to learn the fundamentals of baseball and have a whole lot of fun.  We appreciate any attempt to play with assigned coaches and players but we can accept requests to be paired with one other player and will do our best to make that assignment happen. Any player who has completed a Spring season of Tee Ball or is Age 6 is recommended to enroll in Single A (which is still beginner baseball).

Single A - Coach Pitch
Ages 5-7
This division emphasizes instruction rather than competition. Players will build upon the fundamentals learned in T-Ball and expand their knowledge with a beginning course in pitching and catching techniques on a slightly smaller than regulation field. This division uses a continuous batting order, free substitutions, no standings and no playoffs. Coaches do all pitching. Players are randomly assigned to teams; however, if possible, an effort will be made to place players together if it will help parents with coaching duties and/or car-pooling.  All Stars will be selected to play in the Single A All-Star game at the end of the season.

Double A -Machine Pitch
Ages 6-9
This division's emphasis is on instruction in order to prepare players for competitive levels ahead. This division uses a continuous batting order and free substitutions. Instituted in 2021, we now use a pitching machine for Double A.  This allows batters and catchers to learn how to time a pitch that is consistent in speed and accuracy.  Late in the season (at the discretion of coaches) there may be some player pitch games played.  Requests for pairing players together and with specific coaches generally cannot be accommodated.  All Stars will be selected to play in the AA All-Star game at the end of the season. The top 8's may also be selected for the Little League sanctioned 8YO tournament.

Triple A - Player Pitch
Ages 8-11
This division emphasizes instruction in a competitive atmosphere. This division uses a continuous batting order and free substitutions. Standings are kept and end of season playoffs are held. Players are drafted onto these teams and requests for pairing players together cannot be accommodated.  All Stars will be selected to play in Little League sanctioned tournaments for 8's & 9's, as well as the AAA All-Star game at the end of the season.  All players aged 8 and 9 must attend tryouts in order to be eligible for the Triple A draft.  Those tryouts will be held in late February.

Majors
Ages 10-12
This division emphasizes instruction in the finer points of the game in a very competitive atmosphere. This division uses assigned substitutions with all players playing a minimum of six continuous outs on defense. Standings are kept and end-of-season playoffs are held. Players are drafted onto these teams and requests for pairing players together cannot be accommodated.

District All-Stars (12's) in this division have the chance to play in district, state and regional tournaments, leading to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA.  The top 10's will also be selected for the Little League sanctioned 10YO tournament, and 11's and 12's may be selected to play in our fun-filled, annual Brandywine Little League Invitational.

All new Majors players (regardless of age) are required to attend a tryout for evaluation by Majors coaches.  Those tryouts will be held in late February

Junior & Senior Divisions
Ages 13-16
The Junior and Senior divisions provide players with the opportunity to play teams from other leagues in a competitive atmosphere.  The Junior division is open to 13- and 14-year-old players; however, 14's seeking a more competitive experience will be encouraged to play in the Senior division which is officially a 16U division (13-16). All 15's and 16's MUST play in Seniors.  Both divisions are open to players who also play on school and/or travel teams, but are seeking additional game experience, playing time, and the opportunity to compete in All-Star competition.  Final season standings determine playoff seedings for each division.  All players that meet participation requirements as determined by Little League Rules will have the opportunity to be considered for district-level All-Stars and advance in the Junior (13-14) and Senior (15-16) League Baseball World Series tournaments.  14's that play the regular season in the Senior division will be eligible to play on either the Junior or Senior All-Star teams.

The draft for each division is held to achieve competitive balance.  Requests for pairing players together cannot be accommodated.
