To ensure the safety of our children, WMAA will exclude from a position of leadership or coaching in all sanctioned activities those persons convicted of a felony, a crime of violence, or a crime against persons. WMAA requires all board of director members and coaches and assistant coaches for all WMAA programs (flag football, travel soccer, intramural soccer and basketball)  to submit to a criminal background check annually. WMAA will not knowingly allow any person convicted of a felony, a crime of violence, or a crime against persons, to be in a position that will allow direct contact with children. In addition, any individual who fails to submit the required screening information for the background check within 30 days of the request will be precluded from participation in all WMAA sanctioned activities until the screening is complete.

Note that WMAA receives no detailed information from the screening process.  Only a 'green' or 'red' flag notification is provided.  Please support the safety of our children with this simple process that takes only a minute to submit.
