DBAP Sets Attendance Record On SDLL Night

Saturday June 15th was SDLL night at the DBAP.  The date was selected earlier this year, but with some luck it also happened to be the same weekend the Bulls played the AAA Railriders.  And the news from the New York Yankees for the weekend, they had transferred the rehab assignment of Aaron Judge and Ginacarlo Stanton to the Railriders starting Friday in Durham.  With a sold out SDLL section, the start of the game the Durham Bulls presented SDLL Board Member Montez Thomas with a check for $1476 from the ticket sales fundraiser.  It was followed by eighteen SDLLers, the SDLL SlugFest fundraising Field of Dreams Team, and Coach Thomas as well as Gilchrist taking the field with the Bulls for National Anthem.  At play ball, Bulls mascot Wool E. Bull found the SDLL Montessori Community School T-Ball Colorado Rockies for a team photo at the ballpark.  The Rockies placed first in their division in SlugFest fundraising and won the photo-op with Mr. Bull.  The Bulls bullpen provided some fire throughout the game, and with the big win, the beautiful clear Durham sky shined with a fantastic fireworks display.  It was a fun night for all the SDLL families in attendance!
