NORTHAMPTON INDIANS YOUTH FOOTBALL PARTNERS WITH
DEFEND YOUR HEAD TO ADD PROTECH
HELMET COVERS IN 2020
May 13, 2020 (Philadelphia, PA) – The Northampton Indians Youth Football program has partnered with Defend Your Head (DYH) to provide ProTechs helmet covers to all their players.
In announcing their decision, Northampton Indians’ President, Steve Szydlik stated, “Player safety is our number one priority. We, at Northampton, are extremely excited and proud to share that we will be the first Bux-Mont Pop Warner football program offering the DYH ProTech to all our teams. Purchasing and using the ProTech will improve player safety thereby ensure sustainable futures for both our sport and our football program."
The DYH ProTech is a “Scientifically Advanced Force Reduction” (SAFR) “add on” helmet system, which can be attached to new or existing helmets. ProTech’s technology reduces the force caused from head impact collisions by reducing acceleration. Their patented soft-shell SAFR Technology absorbs, reduces, and deflects force created by contact before it reaches the hard shell of the helmet. An independent study published by Penn State University’s medical research team indicates that ProTech reduced impact forces by as much as 72%1.
