The Boston Bolts announce a phenomenal opportunity for players in the Northern Massachusetts/Southern New Hampshire area. The Bolts are thrilled to announce a strategic partnership with the Green Lions Soccer Academy of Lowell Mass. and the greater Merrimack Valley, effective June 7, 2018!
The talented Green Lions, comprised of boys and girls teams, will now play in the NEP league, and have a pathway to progress within the NEP, NPL, ECNL, and the US Soccer Development Academy! The strong focus on proper skill development and superior foundational skills are shared by both the Bolts and the Lions. This partnership also allows players within the Lions’ community to practice and play close to home, yet have the visibility to the Bolts top scouts, training and curriculum, and coach professional development. The Green Lions’ players will also benefit from having the Bolts coaching staff offer a February vacation clinic in their own backyard. All of which are integral to players reaching their fullest potential.

The full player pathway offered by the Bolts will give the Lions’ most talented player pool, the opportunity to achieve excellence in this sport and open up opportunities for players to use this talent as an avenue to higher education.
“The entire Green Lions Staff was consulted in this decision”, says Leo Mejia, owner of the Green Lions Soccer Club. “We all agreed that partnering with the Boston Bolts was the best path for our Club. Not only will all of our boys and girls teams get access to NEP and NPL play but our Elite Players can find a path to ECNL or DA. The Bolts also offer a true LOCAL semi-professionals path for the players who aspire the highest level to showcase their skills. In other words, with the Bolts program, we complete our path from the very first development stages to the highest level of play at all ages!”
The Bolts mission is to prepare athletes to reach their highest potential in youth soccer in preparation for collegiate, national team and professional play. This year alone, the Bolts have over 30 college committed players (from DA, ECNL, and NEP), a US National Team recruit, and another Bolts alum went Pro! In addition, the Bolts put a great deal of effort into off-field programs as well, including college recruitment, peer mentoring, community service and personal growth opportunities.
