A Typical Summer Day

Day 1 will be a get to know you day. We will introduce basic concepts, provide a fun workout, get them wanting to come back for more!

No test sets on day 1, we will save that for a later date once they have their legs under them.

Day 2 and beyond will typically look like this:
Dynamic Warm Up (all together)
Stations (15-20 Min each) We will mix up how we break kids up here.  Most days it will be by age/gender, some days just age, some days just gender.  We want everyone to get to know each other, but not force the issue too much.
1. Core / Strength
2. Form Running (Lots of teaching here)
3. WORKOUT - Varies by day / event / specialty
Short break
4. We will provide field events daily for the kids to explore with a coach.
5. Fun game at the end to wrap up practice (Time permitting - Capture the flag, mixed age relays, etc.)
6. Static stretching (3-5 Minutes)
7. Pick Up.

High School kids usually have a good idea of what they would like to run and we give them more flexibility.U8's will have a similar experience as everyone else, and will have 1 or 2 coaches with them at all times, performing the same or age-modified drills and events. Some kids are not sure of what they want to do. We allow them flexibility to choose their training coach.  We are very flexible and will not force kids into choosing sprints or distance.  That choice usually happens organically by the kids. We will suggest certain events if we see a natural strength.
