Being a part of a cheerleading team is a pretty awesome thing! Did you know that George W. Bush was a cheerleader in college? Being a part of a cheerleading team has benefits that go way beyond hair bows, pom poms, and routines. It teaches time management and organizational skills, promotes fitness and sets the tone for a lifestyle of healthy choices. Cheerleading teaches bonding and trust among team members. Go BULLDOGS!
Cheerleading Uniforms
All cheerleaders will be issued the following uniform pieces:
- Skirt
- Top (shell)
- Hair bow (you keep)
To be purchased:
- Plain white tennis shoes
- Plain white socks
- Black shorts for underneath cheer skirt (prefer tighter fit/spandex)
- Black leggings for underneath cheer skirt (will wear if it is cold)
- Plain white long-sleeved shirt for underneath cheer top (will wear if it is cold)
If warmer clothing is necessary for cold weather (sweatshirts, jacket etc.), please choose white, black, or purple items.
Your child’s cheer shell and skirt is the property of the Junior Bulldog Football Club and are to be used for games only. A uniform that is damaged due to abuse or neglect will result in loss of the $50 deposit.
Be ready for games and practice.
Coaches need your child to be ready for games/practice at all times. They do not have time to look for your child. Any communication updates will be given to cheerleaders and parents at the end of practice. Your child should come to practice with a water bottle. They need to wear shorts and a tank top/t-shirt for practice (no jean shorts) along with tennis shoes and socks. Hair needs to be pulled back off the face and no jewelry should be worn.
A parent/guardian must be present at every practice and game in case of injury or if practice is called off early (due to weather conditions or other reasons).
