So much good information to share we are sharing another newsletter for March!  Visit Parents Corner on this site to read or see below:

March 18, 2022

DTQ Little League Families,

We are running on all cylinders…as we are just a few weeks away from kicking off the Spring Season.

There are lots of things being worked behind the scenes: uniforms, equipment, opening day invites, permits, ordering food for concessions, deep cleaning all areas that sat vacant over the winter, basket raffle assembly… I could go on and on.  I say this because 100% of our DTQ Board Members have full time jobs and 86% of DTQ Board members have children actively participating in multiple afterschool activities… we ask you to please be patient, we are working as fast as we can to give you all the best season possible.

At this time we want to provide a few reminders and updates (yes…it’s only been a few weeks since our last newsletter…but we honestly can’t keep up with the influx of emails…so we are going to do another email…😉)

Updates:

1.     Pattie E.S: backstop nets have been repaired

2.     Gardzeil:  outfield nets are being repaired, please avoid using this field until repairs have been completed.

3.     Fuller Heights: batting cages are being repaired by the county – at this time there is no known completion date – we will provide managers with updates as soon as we get them.

🚫2022 Spring Registration:  Spring Registration has closed.  For those of you that registered late, please pay your invoices in Blue Sombrero /Sports Connect as soon as possible – We currently have a waitlist, those that have not paid their invoices by 3/20 are subject to disenrollment, unless other arrangements are made.  If you are experiencing issues with your account, please contact our Information Officer at [email protected]

2022 Teams: Managers have been voted in and teams have been created.  Managers have a mandatory meeting on Sunday 3/20.  Managers have until 3/25 to contact their players.

🌼2022 Opening Day –April 1, 2022 is DTQ’s Opening Day – well Night, at Fuller Heights Park, located at 18809 Fuller Heights Road, Triangle, VA. 22172, at 7PM. The theme this season is “Friday Night Lights”.  Please come hungry, we will have “surprise food options” for dinner and the concession stand will be open!  Follow us on Social Media to find out the latest and greatest info (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter).  Please use this link to sign up and volunteer: https://linktr.ee/dtqlittleleague

🎟 Raffle Ticket Reminder: We have changed the way Fundraiser Raffle Tickets were distributed. Rather than receiving a book of tickets after registering, each family will automatically be entered into an e-raffle, with prizes of $1,000, $500 and $250 (2). The $30 raffle fee that is applied at registration will enter 6 - $5 entries under the player’s name into an e-raffle. Families will still be able to “sell” their tickets if they wish. If you chose to “sell” your tickets, you will need to email Amanda Mackenzie (DTQ Fundraiser Coordinator) at [email protected] and let her know to change your player’s name to the new person who bought the tickets you have sold.

📸2022 Picture Day– Spring pictures are BACK!  April 2, 2022 – times will be emailed to team managers to pass along to their players and families. *Please note currently there are no make up dates for this event*

🆘Volunteers: Little League is highly dependent on its volunteers.  In an effort to avoid “email blasts” we have created a SignUp/LinkTreelink that we will use throughout the season. Please note, volunteer fees are charged up front during the registration process and can be refunded with 4 hours of volunteer service that are verified as completed by a board member. Please use this link to sign up: https://linktr.ee/dtqlittleleague *Note for those of you that have already completed your 4 hours - we will be issuing refunds after Opening Day*

🚦Volunteer Background Checks – Little League International requires ALL Volunteers to complete a yearly background check, be on the lookout for an email from Dumfries District Little League to complete your background check.
