Eastside Timbers Recreation is an outdoor community based soccer program offered in East Multnomah and Clackamas Counties with leagues based in Gresham, Sandy, Clackamas, Troutdale, and Portland.  For Spring and Fall League, we offer playing opportunities for players in Kindergarten all the way through High School.

Eastside offers both a Fall and Spring season; Fall Season is based in Gresham, Sandy (numbers permitting) and Clackamas (numbers permitting). Registration for Fall League begins in June and ends in August. Spring season is based in Gresham and registration begins in January and ends in February.

Eastside Timbers Recreation is a genuine non-competitive recreational league where children are taught the game of soccer through practices and soccer matches. Regardless of skill level, Eastside Recreation is a great introduction for new players and coaches to the sport of soccer. No scores or standings are kept and rules are in place to keep all teams on level terms. It's all about the joy of the game. Our recreational coaches are volunteers and almost all are parents. We require our Recreation Coaches and Assistant Coaches to attend our coaching clinic and must also submit a background disclosure and be approved, as well as pass a concussion protocol certification training. 2019 Spring Recreation Outline

• January 14 - Online Registration opens. Sign up before February 25 to receive early discount fee.
• February 20 - Walk-In Registration @ Eastside Timbers Office 3pm-7pm
• February 20 - Walk-In Registration @ Cedar Ridge Middle School 4pm-7pm
• February 23 - Walk-In Registration @ Eastside Timbers Office 10am-1pm
• February 23 - Walk-In Registration @ Oregon Premier Futsal 10am-1pm
• February 25 - Early discount fee ends.
• March 8 - Pending team placement starts. If you register on or after this date we can not guarantee your buddy or coach request.
• March 13 - Coaching Clinic & equipment pick up. This is where coaches come along and get ideas for their training sessions and tactics for games, as well as equipment and coaching gear. All coaches wanting a discount towards their children's fee must attend. It is recommended that all coaches attend. This event will be held at the Eastside Timbers Complex.  6pm-7pm Kindergartners - 2nd graders/7pm-8pm 3rd graders - High School. 
• March 20 - Parents Meeting - Preschoolers and Kindergartners 6:00-6:30pm. 1st Graders and 2nd Graders 6:45-7:15pm. 3rd Graders through High Schoolers 7:30-8:00pm.  All meetings will be held at Kids City, which is a part of East hill Church. You will collect your uniform and information on Eastside Timbers Soccer League.
• April 1 - Training will start this week. Your coach will tell you what days, location and times.
• April 13 - Games start.
• May 4 - Jamboree. You will have a team and individual photo, free snack and other fun activities to do.
• May 19 - Make-up game. If games have been cancelled due to weather and/or field closure, that game will be scheduled to this date. This is a Sunday.
• May 25 - No game.
• June 8 - Season Concludes. 

Registration Fees

Preschool, Kindergarten, & 1st Grade Early Registration: $95
Late Registration: $110

2nd Grade - 8th Grade Early Registration: $105
Late Registration: $120

High School Early Registration: $90
Late Registration: $105 Uniform not required.

If you volunteer to coach, you will receive $50 off your child's registration fee once the season has concluded. You must complete a background check, online concussion course, and coaching clinic to qualify for this discount.

Uniform Information

$45 includes 2 shirts (home and away), shorts, and socks. It is not mandatory for High School Players but they will need to bring a light (white or light grey) and dark (black or red) shirt to all games.

Junior Timbers Practices 

These training opportunities are for Preschoolers, Kindergarteners, 1st Graders, & 2nd Graders.   Eastside Timbers and Thorns FC licensed staff will help and support recreational coaches to provide them with ideas for developing each player and making sure they have a fun experience. These trainings will be held at the Eastside Timbers Sports Complex (4710 SE 174th Ave Portland, Oregon 97236) every Tuesday from 5:00-6:00pm.  These training are not mandatory, but we advise all players and coaches to attend. It is a great opportunity for players and coaches to get quality training at a great venue.

All other age groups

All other ages will have the opportunity to train at the complex. Logistics are being worked out and coaches will be notified once schedule is complete. We will also be using the same grass fields we have used in the past for training's and games.  Those fields are listed on the Recreation Fields webpage.
