2019 Group Pitching Lessons


A great way to stay “Softball Ready”


7-week program with instruction to help

develop and enhance proper pitching mechanics in a group environment


  • When:  Thursday evenings-

January 31st

February 7th, 14th & 28th

March 7th, 14th & 21st


*Dates may change depending on school cancellations


  • Time:   Two sessions offered- Please see attached class descriptions for how your child will be placed

Beginner- 5:30-6:30

Advanced- 6:30-7:30   


  • Location    Park Avenue Elementary School

           58 Park Ave.

           Webster, MA 01570


  • Cost:  $100.00 Pitching fee, checks made payable to Stacey Alvarado, due on the first night of clinic



  • Requirements:  

  • Participants need a catcher each week

  • Participants must come with a bag with the following items:

Sports cream, glove, water bottle and jacket

Areas of training for beginners


Our softball pitching clinic will focus on teaching the pitchers:


  • How to grip and snap the fastball correctly.

  • The correct arm circle and drills to strengthen and improve arm speed.

  • To develop your balance and explosion in the pitching motion to improve accuracy.

  • How to maximize your leg drive and hip strength to create speed.

  • The radar gun will be used to track the speed of the fastball.  

  • Incorporate strength drills into clinic to promote strength of the pitcher.

  • Once correct fastball mechanics are achieved the change-up will be introduced.  


Areas of training for the more advanced pitcher


Our softball pitching clinic will focus on teaching the pitchers:


  • Instruction on technical skills.

  • Proper mechanics for advanced pitchers: includes learning to throw change, drop, rise, curve and screwball.

  • Pitching drills and strength training.

  • Techniques and drills for improving velocity and developing arm strength.

  • Strategies for getting batters out and working on pitch selection.

  • The radar gun will be used to track the speed of the fastball and change-up.
