Re-Opening Plan

The League’s goal is to have a 1 week practice schedule, followed by 4 weeks of games and the possibility of a season-ending tournament in July.
Social Distancing: All players, coaches, volunteers, independent contractors, and spectators should practice social distancing of 6 feet wherever possible, from individuals not within their family, especially in common areas.
CDC Recommendations (June 2020):
1.     Wash hands often
2.     Stay 6 feet away from others when you are out & avoid groups 3.     Wear a face covering/mask is highly recommended (no one under 2 years old or anyone who has trouble breathing)
4.     Frequently clean & disinfect surfaces
5.     Stay home if you are sick
Criteria for Return to Play:
1.   Ability for Board of Directors to enforce guidelines agreed upon – including enforcing rules & providing supplies & equipment
2.   At least 1 team (10-12 players + 3 coaches per team) at each level to resume games at that level (50/70, Majors, AAA, AA, CP, TB)
3.  Players returning: will require equivalent to 1 teams per division to continue play ~20-24 players
4.  Managers Returning: will require 1 manager + at least 2 coaches for every team – in order to manage the guidelines to ensure safe play; Levels TB & CP will require more - ideally 1 adult for every 2 players.
General Guidelines: Under no circumstances shall any person enter BRLL who has been subject to fever, flu-like or respiratory symptoms for the past 14 days or exposed to someone with those conditions. Elderly or vulnerable people should continue to stay home.
A spectator with any of the following conditions should not attend a practice or game until evaluated by a medical provider and given clearance to do so:
1.     Active COVID-19 infection
2.     Known direct contact with an individual testing positive for COVID-19
3.     Fever
4.     Cough
5.     Those at higher risk for severe disease should consider consultation with their medical provider before attending a game and should ensure the strictest adherence to guidelines regarding face coverings, distancing, and handwashing.
Such groups include:
a. Those with a serious underlying medical condition, including heart disease, morbid obesity, diabetes, lung disease, immunocompromise, chronic kidney disease, and chronic lung disease.

Braden River Little League will be planning guidelines in Stages:
STAGE ONE: Time period for first 2 weeks to begin; June 15 - 28 (1 week of practices and 1 week of games) All measures are Stage One (and will remain Stage One) unless there is a Stage Two option also noted
STAGE TWO: After June 28, all measures & guidelines will be assessed & reassessed to determine efficiency, effectiveness, and necessity; at this time, some protocols may (but not guaranteed to) change Potential future stages may include updates to this plan, relaxing or tightening guidelines as is appropriate with the local COVID19 recommendations and function of play for Braden River Little League.   Areas of Protocol:
1.     Board Members/Director On Duty: a. DoD maintains 6’ distance at all times while on Duty b. DoD has a face covering/mask available while on duty
2.     Board Room/Concession: Doors are locked at all times; Scorebook will be kept by Home Team; Pitch Count will be kept by Visitors; Concession workers will be trained and wear gloves at all times
3.     Players a. Player parent/guardian will agree to the Return to Play waiver  b. Players will be encouraged to maintain 6’ distance between each other AND Coaches at all times (excluding during on-field baseball plays) c. 4.     Coaches: Coaches will maintain 6’ distance between each other AND players. (If 6’ cannot be kept- such as while coaching 1st/3rd base - it is suggested that the Coach covers his/her face - by pulling up shirt or face covering/mask)
5.     Teams:
a. Teams whose manager is not returning, will try to remain intact with assistant coaches or parents taking over; if this is not possible, the team will allocate returning players to other teams
b. Teams who have >70% of a full roster returning, will be given players to create a roster of 10-12 players
c. Teams who have ~40-70% of roster returning, will ideally join up with a similar composition of team, to make one full team
d. Teams who have <30% of roster returning, will allocate those returning players to other teams
e. Player Agents will assist with consolidating teams & allocating players
f. All players will be allowed to return- regardless of the # of games they are able to play (if family is traveling, etc).
