Southcentral Soccer Alliance Alaska has partnered with Healthwise Care Center and Stephen Stockhausen, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Physical Therapist and Board Certified Clinical specialist in Orthopedics to create injury prevention and conditioning program for players.

In addition to medical training, Steve has an extensive soccer background both as a player and coach.  His early career playing on the Thomas Worthington High School team, ranked 4th in the Nation by USA Today let him to a collegiate career playing for Marietta College and Asbury University.  He was named team captain and appointed to the All-Conference Team both his Junior and Senior seasons.

After college Steve coached in a variety of settings from individual training sessions, soccer camps for players of all ages, High School, Middle School, and Youth select soccer teams as well as coaching the University of Kentucky Men’s Club Soccer team.

Steve’s intimate knowledge of soccer and dedication to injury prevention and conditioning make him an extremely welcome and valuable asset to the (SSAA) family.  Contact your coach for more information if you would like to arrange an injury prevention session for your child.
