ESPN names O.J. Howard one of the best rookies from Bucs 2017 draft class

It’s evident that both Howard and Evans had solid rookie campaigns no doubt. Howard connected with Winston drive after drive and made a splash all season long while establishing himself as one of the Buccaneers’ most explosive playmakers. Meanwhile, Evans was a dominant force for the Bucs secondary this year as he notched numerous interceptions. Overall, both players exceeded expectations and proved that the future is bright for them no doubt. His best game came against the Buffalo Bills in Week 7, when he caught two touchdowns. In Evans’ first start, he picked off New England Patriotsquarterback Tom Brady with one of eight interceptions Brady threw this season. Evans nearly picked off Brady again later in that game and finished the season in a four-way tie for most interceptions on the team (three) and second among all rookie safeties in the league.
