Big news at our Gallinas field, we have a new scoreboard! It looks great and has been put to good use in the all star games we're hosting in June and July. We use the Gallinas field for our Majors division, District wide all-star games, and tournaments. A number of field improvements were implemented at Gallinas this year, some requiring a financial investment and others needing many hours of sweat equity.
Thank you to Damon Brown, John Gamblin, Ian Nelson, Jeff Birkenseer, and Adriano Caputo for coming out to install the new scoreboard. A special thanks to Damon Brown and John Gamblin, who are both new board members this year, who pushed this improvement forward from the beginning. And of course a big thank you to our President Nancy Miller.
Also thank you to all the families who participated in the Pacific Day ticket sales which has brought in an extra $3,600 in donations. And Jeff Birkenseer who sponsored out 1st Annual Dixie Terra Linda Little League Picnic which was purely for fun, but ended up adding positively to our budget.! These events help to provide us some flexibility to get ahead and make some lasting improvements.
